Bpy! Was I surprised.
I have just come back from Geneva, where I went for my uncle Clifton Sullivan's funeral and the wake of my ex-brother-in-law Malcolm Sowell, and turned on the computer and there I was! Wow!
When I sent the Holmes County Advertiser special 100th anniversary section I had put together back in 1992 to Terry, I forgot they made me write stuff about myself.
That was 16 years ago and I haven't done much since then.
The Holmes County Advertiser sold,Life Magazine died,my daughter Mary Lynn and her husband Mark Rodgers bought a motel in Apalachicola and I moved here.
This is a strange little town where the people are about as nutty as they are back home. I'm taking graduate classes in psychology, I had hoped to learn how to understand people, but instead am learning more about how to understand myself.
We have a wonderful family, with amazing history and stories.
It is a priviledge to be associated with all of you. Isn't it wonderful that Terry lets us write about our convoluted existences on an internet newspaper?
Bring on the truths and tales.
Be careful about bragging on me. When the honors started coming in to E. W. (Judge) Carswell, he said "Oops, I must be about to die, they're lauding me with rubber chicken and chinkapin peas."
If I can get the time, I'm sending Terry some of the history books I have helped people publish to advertise on the rp newspaper.
