Padgett Reunion Was Today |

There was a lot of people there that I am ashamed to say I did not know. Actually I did not know most of them. I will have to work on that. Next year I plan on playing some of my music there and spending more time meeting folks. Today we had to hurry a little because my son James wanted to go by Dad's old home place before we headed back and Dad was getting a little tired. The music was great! I wish I could tell you their name but my video camera bit the dust and my best laid plans to video the event and record everyones names went kaput. Uncle Edwin was there he looked good and it was really nice of Anne to go pick him up and take him. He told me the food was really good and he enjoyed it. He was right, the food was to die for. I will have to run a few extra miles for the next week to burn off all those calories I sucked up. Dan Padgett had me stand up and a tell about the web site so maybe we will be getting some more Padgett involvement with the site. I sure hope so. David Riddle was there and he gave me a disc he was having trouble with and it just has the greatest pictures. I don't know where he got the old ones but they are real treasures. The pictures he takes are veryprofessional. I hope I can post some of them here for you to see. Anyway, it was a good trip and a nice turn out. It was sad when we remembered all the ones we lost this year. It sounded like a long list when Dan ran through the names. They had a picture of Reese on the altar. He would have really enjoyed the eats. The picture of the Riddles I got from David. It was dark on Viola and Lelia but I was able to bring out their features a litte more. This is one of the precious few pictures I have of Bryan Riddle. I really like this picture and I appreciated David for letting me have it. David Riddle knows a lot about our family and history in general I would like to figure out a way to spend more time with him. I could learn a lot. Views: 130

I know that is big trouble to you. 4. 15-06-2008 14:09 Missed you I just enlarged the picture. It's great. I hadn't seen a picture of Bryan in a long time. Also, Milton and Collins. When I lived in Jacksonville, I used to talk to Collins and Dorothy on the phone -- rarely got to see him. But I was really fond of Collins. Lelia lkived there too andshe and I talked. The telephone is a great invention. I'm not sure about the cell phone though -- It's too easy for people to get to you and If you don't answer, the aggravating thing beeps at you. 5. 15-06-2008 14:06 Singers at the reuinon Wilene Thompson who's mother is R.C. Padgett first cousin. informs me that the folks that sang came from Uncle Henry Padgett's clan. Henry was Wilene's GreatUncle. Maybe I will find out more about them singers yet. Thanks Wilene! 6. 15-06-2008 14:03 Singers at the reuinon I'm sorry I didn't get to the Padgett Reunion. My car is doing a number on me. The engine light burns and it occasionally coughs at me if I drive too fast. My son Steve and grandson Daniel are supposed to come get it and get his mechanic to go over it.
