I don't know why there is a bee picture in this article. Last week, I went to see my eye Doctor. Now, just so you'll know... I have a wonderful Ophthalmologist! She is a competent, attractive, fit woman with the most pleasing of mannerisms. While I was there, she told me about healthy Cucumber Water.
This "healthy water" is really simple to make and helps to keep you hydrated. Having been married to a Nurse for 30 years has finally made me paranoid as heck about not being properly hydrated. I suppose everyone has known about this water for years already. But you know me... late as usual, I am just finding out. I think that it comes from the Atkins diet. Of course Dr. Atkin's is dead as a door nail now, but it wasn't from his water. Here is how you make it. You take some filtered water, peel and slice some cucumbers, add a couple of slices of lemon and put it in the refrigerator for about an hour to chill. It is pretty good stuff. I make about 2 quarts at a time. I use one half of a medium size cucumber. An added plus is that you can refill the water 2 or 3 times using the same cucumbers and lemon. The water absorbs the flavor. If you are like me and hate to drink plain water, then this might be a good thing to try. On the other hand, if you only need a good Ophthalmologist go see Dr. Cynthia Peeterse
